Fish Feed Regulations

There are several aspects of animal feed regulations and policy that need analysis.  In general, various national laws should be examined and contrasted with each other and international standards.  Included in these laws are typically feed labeling laws, import laws, registration procedures for feed producers, Good Manufacturing Practices guidance, and procedures for preventing the spread of contaminated feed.  The regulations for medicated feeds and feeds containing other additives of minerals, chemicals, and nutrients should also be explored.  Further, analysis can be made of the various types of fishmeal and fish oils commonly used in animal feed.  Because many fish are bound for consumption outside of the country in which they were harvested, research into the specific feed laws and enforcement of the main source countries can also be very valuable.
